I've spent 40 years engineering sound in commercial studios — working with CBS, Netflix, Alicia Keys, and Spotify. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona. I am also a drummer. I've recorded and performed with Marc Storace (Krokus), Barry Sparks (Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Schenker), Ted Nugent, Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Les Dudek (Steve Miller), Pat Travers, Frank Marino, and Rudy Sarzo (Ozzy, Whitesnake). Which means I understand drums from both sides of the glass — not just as the engineer trying to capture them, but as the player who has spent a lifetime behind the kit.
