Are these just videos?

Do I need any prior recording experience?

No. Volume 1 starts at the beginning and assumes nothing. It's built from first principles, so someone genuinely new can work through it and come out understanding the physics behind every decision in the studio — not just what to do, but why it works.

Volume 2 is a step up. It's a lot of material for someone brand new, but it's entirely manageable once Volume 1 is properly understood. That's why I recommend taking them in order.

What the curriculum does assume is that you want to know why, not just which knob to turn. If you're after a list of settings, this isn't it. If you want the reasoning underneath, experience level matters far less than you'd think.
