The Studio Edge is an online pro audio recording education series created by Jim Pavett in 2010. It is the original engineering-based recording curriculum — built on the same principles Jim uses every day at Allusion Studios. Not tips sourced from forums. Engineering principles developed over 40 years of real commercial studio work and filtered through an Electrical Engineering degree that most recording educators do not have.
The courses were rated 4 and 5 stars on major distribution platforms. The principles in them have since been copied and simplified across hundreds of YouTube channels. The Studio Edge remains the original source.
